Reports To: Store Manager, Regional IT & Scanning Supervisor
Pay Range: $18.50 – $22.00 per hour
General Purpose: Ensure that all products in the store are scanning accurately according to shelf tags/signage, maintain new and existing shelf tags/signage, assist in coordinating all price changes, and carry out special assignments given by the Store Manager and/or Regional IT & Scanning Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain shelf tags and proper signage throughout the store.
- Handle missing shelf tags/signage and price discrepancies as top priority.
- Take items on/off sale according to newsletter, providing timely rotation of expired tags/signage with current tags/signage.
- Print and hang shelf tags/signage per sign/sale requests.
- Consistently verify/audit the store to maintain accuracy of the store (minimum of once month total store verification).
- Collect Not on File Logs/Scanning Discrepancy Logs from Front End, and handle Not on File and price discrepancies as top priority.
- Communicate to Store Manager and/or Regional IT & Scanning Supervisor any feedback regarding scanning/pricing department concerns, successes, and verification results.
Other Responsibilities:
- Cover stores when scan clerks are out sick or on vacation.
- Assist other team members in achieving the goals of the Department and the store.
- Attend scheduled Scan Department meetings and all store meetings.
- Adhere to all Scan Department and Store policies as outlined by Regional IT & Scanning Supervisor/Store Manager, Staff Member Handbook and the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
- Provide Store Manager and Department Managers with movement reports.
Qualifications:
- Computer literate.
- Ability to read product labels and UPC codes.
- Proven organizational skills including managing detailed tasks.
- Excellent ability to initiate a task and follow through to its completion.
- Capable of providing clear, consistent communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Physical Demands:
- Visual acuity to be able to read and differentiate long strings of small numbers.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb and balance on a step stool/ladder.
- Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Ability to sustain repetitive arm and hand motion.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer and other office equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment: Combination of retail sales environment and office setting.
