Independent Natural Food Retailers Association

Independent Natural Food Retailers Association (INFRA) is a cooperative owned and governed by natural and organic food retailers of all sizes working together to leverage their voice in the industry by uniting for the purpose of providing operational support, leveraging purchasing power and increasing opportunities to reach consumers. INFRA’s retail members work together to enhance independents’ position in the marketplace through a collaborative brain trust equaling years of industry experience. As one of the fastest growing key accounts in the natural channel, INFRA has captured the attention of the natural food industry.

Non-GMO Project

The Non-GMO Project is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and building sources of non-GMO products, educating consumers, and providing verified non-GMO choices. Their shared belief is that everyone deserves an informed choice about whether or not to consume genetically modified organisms.

The Non-GMO Project works in several different capacities to ensure the availability of non-GMO products and to help support informed choice. They offer North America’s only third-party verification and labeling for non-GMO food and products. They also work to educate consumers and the food industry to help build awareness about GMOs and their impact on our health and food systems. One of the inherent risks of genetically modified crops and food items is that they contaminate non-GMO crops and foods through cross-pollination and/or contamination; so they also work with food manufacturers, distributors, growers, and seed suppliers to develop a standard for detection of GMOs and for the reduction of contamination risk of the non-GMO food supply with GMOs.

LiveWell San Diego Logo

Live Well San Diego is the County of San Diego’s vision for a region that is Building Better Health, Living Safely and Thriving. Although Live Well San Diego began in 2010 as a health strategy, it has evolved into a greater vision to improve the health, safety and well-being of all County residents. There are three components:

  1. Building Better Health calls for improving the health of all residents and supporting healthy choices
  2. Living Safely calls for ensuring residents are protected from crime and abuse, neighborhoods are safe and communities are resilient to disasters and emergencies
  3. Thriving calls for cultivating opportunities for all people and communities to grow, connect, and enjoy the highest quality of life

Live Well San Diego involves everyone. Only through a collective effort — in which all of us work together toward a shared purpose — can meaningful change be achieved in a region as large and diverse as San Diego County. Organizations can become Live Well San Diego Recognized Partners by making a formal commitment to support the Live Well San Diego vision. Recognized Live Well San Diego Partners include health care providers, community and faith-based organizations, businesses, school districts and other jurisdictions, including cities, tribal governments and military or veterans organizations. Jimbo’s is a proud partner of Live Well San Diego!
