Social Media & Marketing Manager

General Purpose: To drive awareness and interest via our various digital platforms and community outreach initiatives and programs. To manage the overall digital media strategy and to continue to establish Jimbo’s as a leader in the community. To support the Director of Marketing, assist with promotional events internally and externally, coordinate community donations and manage projects on an as needed basis.

Essential Duties:

  • Support Director of Marketing with duties and special projects.
  • Oversee, manage and maintain all digital platforms.
  • Oversee, manage and maintain the Demo Program.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain ethical and beneficial relationships with Vendors.
  • Assist other staff members in achieving the goals of the Department and the Company.
  • Attend scheduled Marketing staff meetings and all store meetings.
  • Adhere to all Marketing Department and Store policies as outlined by Director of Marketing, the Staff Member Handbook and the Injury
    and Illness Prevention Plan.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, public relations and project management.
  • Strong understanding of the ins and outs of digital platforms: Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and WordPress.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong skills in leadership, time management and communication/listening, and presentation.
  • Strong engagement with audiences and knowing how to tell a story through various digital platforms.
  • Strong sense of ownership in all projects.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented by nature.
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to change.
  • Computer literate with experience in Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Self motivated and a team player.
  • Open, friendly demeanor that relates well in small and large group settings.
  • Knowledge of Natural Foods.
  • Complete Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment.
  • Ability to travel between stores.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in a variety of offsite settings for special events.
  • Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly to communicate with customers, vendors and staff.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend at waist and reach above shoulders and horizontally to retrieve files and supplies.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work productively in an open modular office environment.
