Administrative Assistant/ Scan Clerk II


General Purpose: Back up scan clerk for all store locations. Assist Buyers with data entry forms, movement support, and ad coordination. Assist senior management on BR Data reporting.

Scan Clerk Back Up:

  • Maintain daily Scan Clerk II duties for all stores when needed.
  • Support Scan Supervisor as needed for data entry and BR Data projects.

Buyers Administrative Support:

  • Ad/Flyer data entry and coordination.
  • Toledo data entry for new items and sale batches.
  • New item data forms.
  • Pack/UPC change data entry forms.
  • Communicate to Director of Operations/Scanning Supervisor any feedback regarding scanning/pricing department concerns, successes, and verification results.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Attend scheduled Scan Department meetings and all store meetings.
  • Adhere to all Scan Department and Store policies as outlined by POS/IT Manager & Scanning Supervisor/Store Manager, Staff Member.
  • Handbook and the Injury and Illness Prevention Plan.
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining training manuals for all scanning positions.

Qualifications:

  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to read product labels and UPC codes.
  • Proven organizational skills including managing detailed tasks.
  • Data Management or Category Management skills preferred.
  • Understanding of basic POS system reporting.
  • Excellent ability to initiate a task and follow through to its completion.
  • Capable of providing clear, consistent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.

Physical Demands:

  • Visual acuity to be able to read and differential long strings of small numbers.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to climb and balance on a step stool/ladder.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch.
  • Ability to sustain repetitive arm and hand motion.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.

Work Environment: Combination of retail sales environment and office setting. Able to travel between multiple stores locations.
