SAN DIEGO, CA, August 27, 2013 — From August 5-18, Jimbo’s…Naturally!
partnered with SuperFood Drive for a fourth summer to collect healthy food for Feeding
America San Diego’s Kids BackPack Program. The BackPack Program serves over 2,500
children weekly at 17 schools around San Diego County. Each child receives an easy-tocarry
bag filled with nutritious staple items and fresh produce when leaving school each
Friday afternoon. This year’s summer SuperFood Drive raised 4,190 pounds of nutrientdense
non-perishable foods for the San Diego community and customers donated an
additional $15,092 for SuperFood Drive to purchase specific kids healthy back pack
items for Feeding America San Diego.

Jim “Jimbo” Someck, owner of Jimbo’s…Naturally!, is thrilled with the success of the summer
SuperFood Drive. “Our customers recognize the benefits of eating organically – on both their
bodies and the environment. Accordingly, we believe that high quality natural foods, especially
organics, should be made available to people of all ages. We are grateful for our customers’
generosity and support of SuperFood Drive and Feeding America San Diego.”
